Today we will talk about a complex warehouse process called Outbound sorting.
In this video, we will go into the put-to-wall methodology and configure it in Dynamics.
As it can be a bit difficult to follow, I leave you the configuration seen:
Activate the "Outbound Sorting" feature
Create a location type for sorting.
Configure the type of location created in the warehouse management parameters
Create a location profile, keeping in mind that we will have multiple license plates, multiple lots, and multiple items at the wall location.
Create a location with the profile created in point 4
Create a packaging profile, indicating the type of container most used at the end of the process
Create a wave pass code. (Remember that to create it we have to activate the "Wave pass code by company" feature
Go to the new output order template form and create a template of the "wave demand" type, this will allow us to use the Put to wall method.
Regenerate the wave methods, from the configure menu-> waves -> wave methods
Within the wave templates, update the shipping wave template and load the "sorting" method with the wave step code created in point 7
Create the wall menu item, for this it must be of the indirect type, activity code: Output ordering and we must associate the output ordering template created in point 8 to it
Add the menu item to the corresponding menu in the mobile device menu form.
Create location directives of the item order picking type, where we parameterize the output from the wall or sorting position to the output docks
Create work class of type ordered inventory pick
In the Work templates form, create a template of the Picking type for item ordering. Here we create the selection and placement lines necessary for the output from the sorting position.
